Background -


REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION, Registered in Nigeria with Corporate affairs commission and other government agencies. Our objective is to help and develop the distressed, needy, neglected and vulnerable IDPs and Refugees socially and economically by providing them necessary assistance for sustaining their lives and conditions especially the women and children.REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION was established in 2022.

VISION, MISSION AND GOALS -


VISION:
Recognizing and developing strategies to address the risks and vulnerabilities and offer durable solutions to most affected by the crisis in north east Region, especially internally displaced people and refugees, through development and supporting efforts by Government.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Working towards assisting the Internally Displaced Person's (IDPs) and neglected people at grass root level and find access to sustainable Livelihood. Therefore we will take all necessary initiatives / measure towards empowerment and self-determinations of community people enabling them to solve their own socio-economic problems by themselves.

GOAL:
To help and develop the distressed, needy, neglected and vulnerable IDPs and Refugees socially and economically by providing them necessary assistance for sustaining their lives and conditions especially the women and children.

AIMS AND OBJEVTIVES:
Working towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of its target group the poor, socially and economically deprived people.
-To assist the most vulnerable in the society.
-To promote Livelihood.
-To render assistance to the government in providing succor especially post insurgency.
-To promote awareness among members of community.
-To build capacity of the civil service to perform better and yield the desired outcomes in government establishments.
-To build capacities of returnees to be resilient in their resettled habitations.

OUR PROGRAMS


Food Security:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION plan to demonstrate an improvement in the food security and nutrition situation in the affected Area of the region.

Protection:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is to train legal actors from the region to engaged in access to justice (ATJ) in joint collaboration with the Nigerian Human Right Commission (NHRC) and the Bar Association. To focus on mitigating sexual and gender-based violence, preventing sexual exploitation and abuse and emphasizing the critical role of NHRC as the lead defender of human rights.

Gender-Based Violence Protection (sub-sector):

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is set to assist targeted individual to received specialized support including case management, psychosocial support, medical care, as well as safety and security services, women and girls will receive material support such as dignity kits. Each individual will benefit training /capacity building initiatives on various components of GBV and PSEA.

Child Protection:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is set to assist children, adolescents and caregivers with psychosocial support, skills and livelihood support and also children (boys and girls) will benefit from integrated case management services for unaccompanied and separated children.

Health:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is set to response to activities such as active surveillance in affected communities, case management, house-to-house community sensitization and WASH interventions. Mental healthcare services will be introduce across the North-Eastern state.

Nutrition:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION planned to set up stabilization center in the most affected area to manage severe acute malnutrition (SAM) with medical complications, as part of the key activities and Mobile outreach teams will be responding to new arrivals from hard-to-reach areas for rapid response and to facilitate screening and treatment at the first point of contact.

Shelter and Non-food Items:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is set to deliver shelter assistance to meet both the immediate and longer term needs of the most vulnerably displaced (IDPs), returnees and non-displaced families, hence providing access to physical protection.

Displacement Management Systems (Camp Coordination and Camp Management):

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is set to create sensitization and awareness campaigns on disaster risk reduction & disaster risk management will be carried out and mobilized 100 IDPs including youth, women and men to participate in various programmes to acquire skills for self-reliance.

Education:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is set to provide training to teachers and provision of school supplies and also applying child friendly methodologies and psychosocial support skills.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is set to work alongside with the WASH and Health Sector to bring an end to cholera outbreak in the region and also ensure that most affected population are protected from any contamination in the community.

climate change/enviroment:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is set to support people affected by natural disasters such as drought, flood, hurricanes etc. to become more resilient and bold to over such whenever they occur.

Agriculture:

REMEM HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION is determined to support inclusive and sustainable agricuntural growth by providing small scale producers with productive and resilient assets, partnership and market access as well as access to value chains. .
